Experimentation started for two electric buses<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday\u00a0KM, Arriva Italia company operating in Cremona, introduced two new electric buses\u00a0for the first time\u00a0in the city; the vehicles were presented in a conference in the city center, and several authorities took part in the presentation: Angelo Costa, managing director of Arriva Italia, Gianluca Galimberti, mayor of Cremona, Simona Pasquali, councilor for mobility.<\/p>\n

Citizens and journalists had the opportunity to see and visit the new buses, two\u00a0Ecity L12 model made by chinese company Alfabus, with a guaranteed autonomy of more than 200 km.\u00a0Arriva and Alfabus already partnered in the past, for the EXPO 2015 in Milan.<\/p>\n

To manage the manutention of these two electric buses will be italian graduate Massimiliano Stiz, which showed the vehicles to the authorities and later in the conference the mayor itself congratulated with him for the competence and professionalism demonstrated.<\/div>\n

\u201cWith this two buses we start a trial: the results and information collected will be useful to assess any additional strategies in the future\u00a0\u2013<\/em>\u00a0said\u00a0Angelo Costa, managing director of Arriva Italia, during the press conference\u00a0\u2013\u00a0It is essential to increasingly think of green and environmentally friendly mobility. Already in 2017, KM Cremona has purchased 9 latest-generation vehicles equipped with highly innovative Euro VI engines, which further reduce fuel consumption and emissions to minimum levels. Furthermore, all the electricity supply to meet the company\u2019s needs \u2013 including recharging electric buses \u2013 will be certified by renewable sources, for an even greener city \u201d.<\/em><\/div>\n

In order to meet the high\u00a0expectations of both citizens and local authorities, especially about\u00a0the reduction of polluting emissions and green mobility, the gradual introduction of an electric bus service is envisaged for Cremona urban transport; the people of Cremona will be able to\u00a0enjoy a pleasant and peaceful travel experience, in total safety and with the utmost respect for the environment and the city.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
